The limpid layer of mist from night
The dusky glow of the morning light
The flowers that took so long to bloom
The paintings that adorned my room
The colors from the fabric I wore
The dolls, I used to adore
The words on my daily journal
The poems that I thought eternal
The friendships that we called forever
The dreams that we dreamed together
Money, love and all that we treasure
Food and wine, our means of pleasure


And thoughts of you that kept me awake

Everything but the dread of heartbreak...
