Adieu

[Dedicated to the ppl of my batch-07 with whom I have spent the last four years]


Four years may not have been long enough
To make a relationship of this love
One, that could remain forever
To be sustained, preserved or savoured
For the rest of our life
To make it stay alive.

But sure is that this friendship of ours
Will remain beyond the curbed hours
Of our staying together here
Of sharing moments so much dear
If not in real, then in memories
In remembrance we will surely cherish.

It takes a lot to leave behind
Forget and omit from the mind
The first days of coming here
The intros to our seniors
The sessions of the PDPs
The lessons of the primaries.

The finding friends of our kinds
Discussions among the like minds
The days of our working together
Of blooming in the different weathers
The subjects that never made sense
They all form a memory dense.

We all have walked through these days
Finding ourselves a specific place
For now and for the rest of our life
We have learnt the ways to stay alive
May be each in different approaches
But this place has taught us the ways.

It has given us our own space
In the proximity of each other's place
We have learnt to grow to the fact
That we live differently yet intact
And its time for us now, friends
To reach where all these ends

To leave a place that made us grow
The time has come for us to go
To say adieu, bid farewell
To hope for and wish each other well
To gather a few cherished moments
From all these days together spent.
